From November 26 to December 12 the orchestra of folk instruments “Dzherela”, together with the trio of bandura players and the ensemble of bandura players “Dyvo struny” (Marvel Strings) visited Germany and gave there charitable concerts within the framework of agreement about cooperation between Lesya Ukrainka National University and the association “Bridges to Ukraine”. The concerts of both artistic groups were given in religious buildings, schools, etc. The German audience demonstrated great attention to Ukrainian performers as their repertory included pieces of the world classics, Ukrainian carols, German Christmas melodies, German and Ukrainian folklore. The German audience was astonished by M. Khalameida’s masterly playing the pipe, J. Klymenko’s lyrical playing the violin and by the stage humour of Y. Kliots.
