Again in Germany

From November 26 to December 11 2011 the orchestra of folk instruments “Dzherela”, together with the trio of bandura players and the ensemble of bandura players “Dyvo struny” (Marvel Strings) visited Germany (Northern Rhine Westfalia, the city of Bunde) with Christmas concerts at the invitation of the public association “Bridges to Ukraine”. During this period of time a number of concerts, meetings with the civil organizations, lecture-concerts for students at specialized art gymnasiums were held. The German audience greeted Volynian artists with delight, often standing and asking to perform a musical piece encore. This year the authorities of the association honoured the conductors of these orchestras V. F. Kucheruk and M. P. Stochanska with special awards for high artistic level of their orchestras and fruitful 10-year-long cooperation. V. F. Kucheruk and M. P. Stochanska became honorary members of this association.
Members of both groups are grateful to the association “Bridges to Ukraine” in general and to professors K.-G. Krog and G. Prusner in particular for the excellent organizing of these actions and for the conditions of staying in Germany.
